Creating "Me" Time.

Relaxation, Find the time for you.

Hey ladies guess what? "Girl just relax!".


With all that we do in our daily lives, our job, the family, being mum, wife, the bills! 

This all leaves us drained and there is no time or left for ourselves.

The Facts.

Research has shown that women are less happy than they have been over the past 40 years the major reason is that they are simply too busy.

Whether you're wrangling toddlers, waiting up late and worrying about your teen wondering when they are going to come home, caring for your aging parents. Every woman needs an occasional break for sanity's sake.

There's a lot of stress.

Pressure put on women from all the roles we are on a daily basis leave many of us not taking care of ourselves as much as we would like, which results in us not having the energy to take care of all these responsibilities that we have.



We need to take time.

Each day we need to do something for ourselves, it needs to be a priority because we are important!
Lets look at an example, take yourself out of your daily priorities and take a look at who else will fill those shoes?
Scary thought right? taking care of yourself will make you a better parent and partner and you will more fun to be around
for your kids, friends, family and everyone else,
we want to see you glow!


Treat it just like any other appointment, you have to build in battery recharge time,



Here are some idea's for making "me" time.

 Cooking.

Now i know it's not everyone's cup of tea, but there are some of us who are active relaxers, relaxing to us could be a nice jog around the block with no direct intentions in mind but to do so. But cooking, oh my, the things that come to mind.

A roast duck?, a new salad?, or be daring and go for that more complex recipe that gets your taste buds tingling. 

 

 Enjoy a cup of coffee and the newspaper.



Call a friend to chat,just talk, no need to have any specific agenda.


Enjoy a 5 minute stroll around the block, take the dog if you have one and just enjoy.


Deep breathing. wherever you are, your office, car, or home, focus on breathing slowly.


Collect some flowers for your office or kitchen.

 

Soak in a spa, take a friend or go solo, chances are someone else might be there
doing the same thing.

Get a massage or a facial, take a nap...........easy!

Take part in a class that you've always wanted to take.

 

 

 

  Whatever you choose to do with your "me" time, make it relaxing and restorative.

Remember "Shoulds" are the enemy of relaxation.

Don't think about what you should do, but about what makes you thrive.
